Don’t name your server “SqlServer”

September 20, 2007

The September public GridMasterTraining class, a five day class covering all of SoftGrid and run by Tim Mangan is completed.

We all learned a lesson in why Hotels should not name their database server “SqlServer”.  Especially when I bring in a much faster server!  “What do you mean I can’t check out?”

Network segmentation anyone?
