TMEditX  The Ultimate MSIX Package Editor plus TmMsixDeploy To Documentation Index

TMEditX Configuration Options

TMEditX is configured from the File-->Options tab.  This will be displayed automatically the first time that you use the product.  The image below shows some typical settings.

Controls for the features include the following:

Feature Description
Registration Brings up the dialog so that you can paste in the license key.  Requires online access to activate.
General TMEditX uses two temporary folders in the user Temp folder when working on a package.  When the cleanup is checked, the tool will remove these folders when exiting, or if a new package is opened.  We recommend you select this item.
Branding When selected, the tool will inject a customized UI into the package when you save it.  Controls for adjusting the customization are in this area, and the image above shows the settings that were used to create the TMEditX installer. This customized UI shows when an end-user tries to install the package by opening it in the Desktop AppInstaller.
PSF Recommendations Allows for adjustments to the PSF recommendations if you add the PSF.  Currently, there is only one setting - to add the RegLegacyFixup if the PsfLauncher is added to the package.  We recommend setting this on as TMEditX cannot predict whether this app will need the fixup or not.
Save Options These options affect what happens with versioning of the package when you save the package.
Signing Method Currently, two signing methods are supported.  You can use signtool with a password protected PFX file, or you can use Digicert KeyLocker based signing.  Signtool is included inside this product, but if KeyLocker is needed you must install and configure the KeyLocker tools externally.
Filters These are the file and registry filters used for the Pre-PSF package cleanup.  You can edit the list manually here, and export/import to share a common list with others in your company.  Items may also be added to the list by right-click on an item in the C.Files or C.Registry tabs.
Apply  Other than Registration, any other changes to the options on this page must be stored by clicking on the Apply button at the bottom.
