I believe the answer is "yes, you can". I do not have exact steps to do so, but believe it will involve a special shortcut plus the JavaBlock technique. TechNet might be a better place for the question (more people look there), but you should ping Dan Gough directly as I know he has done it many times.

hi all. i have a question. we have a citrix environment with installed Java 8. Now we have a Java Application what realy need Java7. It is not a browser based Java Application, it is a real standalone java application, so it opens javaws.exe with a URL. is it with app-v possible to have a java7 app-v package what will work here? i get here many different statements, that it is maybe not working because of the java environment variables. can someone here give me a solid statement. Is it with APP-V possible to have a different running Java Version on a XenApp Worker with another installed Java Version?
best regards
frank
